Basically it means you will be fine if the rain surprises you. However don’t expect this tent to keep you dry if it rains for days without stop. What I appreciate about the NTK Colorado GT is that it does the job without any flashy extras. It is reliable, easy to assemble, spacious enough and has good enough waterproofing for a 3 season tent.

The NTK Colorado has a few design features that make it really easy to use. First of all, it has two big doors, and as a result two vestibules. The vestibules are big enough that people can store their dirty shoes and gear in them with ease. The pole system makes it really easy and fast to set up the NTK Colorado.

The NTK Colorado is a double wall tent. Basically the whole upper part of the inner wall is made of mesh. Plus there is a 2500 mm HH waterproof rainfly that you can attach. Of course this means in other areas the tent could improve. For one, the poles were poorly designed shock-cord connected fiberglass poles. When I was setting up the tent I got stung by small pieces of fiberglass.

However with all of its faults, the tent has merits. If you want an entry level waterproof tent, you could do worse than the Night Cat.
